I am a Danish artist working with video, performance, and sound. My work questions mainstream culture through nonlinear narratives that confuse the differentiation between on and off-screen. The longing for digital content parallelled with physical escapism, provokes a fascination with the enigmatic authority of on-screen content, a despondency with its failure to truly satisfy, and a passive frustration with its dulling our desire to escape it. I am interested in the continuous teetering between fatigue and hyper-emotionality in users/consumers and how interacting with on-screen content feels concurrently participatory and mandatory.
