On Tuesday, October 29 I will be discussing the mechanics of a formal research paper in class. We will see Betye Saar's work, which is the subject of Research Paper #1, in person on our museum field trip to LACMA on Saturday, November 9th. You will find some valuable information from LACMA about the Betye Saar: Call and Response exhibition HERE, and there are many books about the artist on Reserve at Davidson Library HERE (you will need to use your UCSB NetID and password to access the Course Reserves).
Please come to class with any questions that you may have, and I will devote as much time as you need to the topic before moving on to the lecture.
